Witham Health Services, headquartered in Lebanon, Ind., announced Friday updates to visitor guidelines after COVID-19 concerns lessen.
The medical system will also offer in-person community education classes and support group meetings, services greatly affected when the COVID-19 pandemic hit just over two years ago.
“Things are moving in the right direction. We have a new sense of hope as the number of COVID positive patients in our hospital is near zero!” said Kelly Braverman, CEO/president of Witham Health Services, in the announcement.
“Now is the perfect time to schedule any routine check-ups and screenings that you have delayed during the latest COVID spike. Your health and safety is our top priority. Please do not put off emergency or routine care – we are here to help keep you healthy. Witham Health Services will deliver the exceptional care you’ve come to expect.”
While Witham staff, patients and visitors must still war masks in each healthcare facility, according to the announcement, restrictions on the number of visitors has eased in certain areas.
“Witham is dedicated to keeping you and your family safe and with the standard precautions of wearing masks and social distancing, we are once again able to offer in-person community education classes and support group meetings. We have also updated our visitor guidelines to reflect the lower COVID positivity rate in Boone County.” said Braverman.
Inpatient Units (Med/Surg and Critical Care): 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
Emergency Departments: one visitor per emergency patient
OB Department:
Patients with no COVID-19 symptoms may have two designated visitors (one allowed to stay overnight.)
Patients with COVID symptoms may have one designated visitor.
Extended Care Unit:
Call the unit at 765-485-8300 for updated visitation guidelines.

“We have come together as a community and as a healthcare facility; Witham’s amazing staff never wavered in delivering quality care to those we serve by putting patient’s health and safety first. I am confident we each want to get to a place when Covid concerns are no longer – thus, we continue to encourage you to get vaccinated/boostered and wash your hands often.”
