The Washington College trap & skeet team travelled to San Antonio, Tx. to compete in the 2022 Association of College Unions International Clay Targets National Championships. The competition included 28 Division III teams with over 700 student-athletes.
In the Men’s Individual High Overall, sophomore Gage Williams placed 118th out of the 597 participants. Junior Carter Weems achieved 246th place and senior Will Sears followed closely behind in 259th place. Senior Lanning Tyrrel placed 330th and freshman Hunter Clark placed 340th.
The Women’s Individual High Overall saw sophomore Halley Donati climb to 81st place out of 150. Junior Emma Smith placed 124th and freshmen Hartley Meyer and Kate Opielski finished at 133rd and 138th place.
This was the final competition of the WC trap & skeet 2021-22 season. They will graduate seniors Tyrrel, Sears, and Jack Maher.
